Love and longing take center stage in this enchanting program of Baroque treasures on Portland Baroque Orchestra's chamber series. Curated by Arwen and lutenist John Lenti, the program explores passion and heartache through the music of Barbara Strozzi, Biagio Marini, and Alessandro Scarlatti.
Grounded by exquisite passacaglias from Frescobaldi and Biber, Arwen and John are joined by Julian Perkins on harpsichord for this intimate performance of deep emotion and stunning virtuosity.
